Creating an outdoor lounge area is a fab way to enhance both your indoor and outdoor garden space. Whether you have a large patio to play with, a tiny balcony or even just a courtyard garden, there is so much you can do to blend a little of the indoors, out!

I like to create different seating areas for different times of day – and accessorise them accordingly. Outdoor work area? Parasol and a tactile coffee mug or tea pot. Some planters with herbs and lavender to calm the senses. Sunbathing? Beautiful outdoor cushions and jug with fruit water. Entertaining? Sofas, side tables and organic look crockery and utensils for serving up that BBQ. Outdoor cinema time? Blankets, candles and bowls for popcorn!

Don’t forget that your garden is also a great place to display mirrors and art or sculpture – just check that it can take the weather!
