Artist Dot Young has a passion for intricate relief sculpting practices, based on traditional techniques and methods and an interest in exploring historical narratives through sculptural expressions.
The tile draws on the 19th Century naturalist E Haeckel’s illustrative work and depicts and interpretation of the intricate underside of a ‘Discomedusae’ jellyfish.
