These wooden coffee, tea (gin?!) cups are carved with an axe from Scottish hardwood, waterproofed and printed with real plants.
Everyday we hold and use a cup I love making cups more than anything as it is the most tactile of materials. When we drink from a hand carved wooden cup we connect ourselves with this basic natural material every time.
250ml volume.
Made from Birch or Sycamore wood, and they won’t break when you drop them so are ideal for adventures away from home!

In 2010 a job brought Tom to the Scottish Highlands working with the forestry commission where he fell in love with the Cairngorms.
One of the defining features in this area are the clean white stems of the Birch trees, and it is with these trees he has his closest connection with carving. He uses the wood for making various kitchen utensils although his main passion is making drinking vessels.
