These pattern on these coasters comes from the rippled Sycamore, which usually has to be purchased from a dealer in specialist musical instrument woods as it is highly prized for use in guitars and violins. It is not quite as rare as the more closely rippled variety, but some people consider it to be even more beautiful.

Many of them use the most stunning pieces of timber that the maker, Roland Smith, has collected. These pieces are often too small and/or too expensive to use on larger pieces of furniture.

As with all things made of wood, every coaster is totally unique, but of course, some are more unique than others.

Care;

After testing many finishes, Roland has only found one that still looks good after a glass has stood in red wine on it for half an hour. Even so, wipe spillages dry and do not put them in the dishwasher.

Clean with warm soapy water as necessary.
